The suitable applicant will be a meticulous and systematic Estimation Specialist with demonstrated expertise in air conditioning (HVAC) ventures. This position entails generating precise expenditure forecasts, Bills of Quantities, and both technical and financial bids for residential, corporate, and industrial HVAC installations. Responsibilities:

  • Formulate comprehensive cost assessments for HVAC/AC ventures utilizing blueprints, project manuals, and bidding files.
  • Conduct material volume calculations for HVAC frameworks, encompassing chillers, VRF/VRV, DX units, ventilation, conduits, thermal wrapping, regulators, and peripheral equipment.
  • Construct Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and itemized material expenditure reports.
  • Examine supplier bids and create side-by-side evaluation reports.
  • Evaluate bidding paperwork, defined project limits, and engineering specifications.
  • Draft technical and financial submissions according to customer requirements.
  • Pinpoint potential hazards, premises, omissions, and cost-efficiency alternatives.
  • Engage with the commercial and executive staff throughout bid filings and contract discussions.
  • Communicate with design, sourcing, and operational groups to verify cost projections.
  • Facilitate value engineering and price refinement while upholding operational quality and benchmarks.
  • Help with final budget reconciliation and cost management strategies after project acquisition.
  • Confirm that all calculations adhere to ASHRAE, SMACNA, ISHRAE, and regional regulatory protocols.
  • Keep archives of projections, cost repositories, and past project statistics.

Candidate profile:

  • University degree or technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Between three and eight years of background in HVAC/AC cost estimation for building or MEP initiatives.
  • Direct experience involving business, housing, or manufacturing HVAC frameworks.
  • Robust understanding of HVAC technology (chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VRF, and DX configurations).
  • Competence in AutoCAD (for blueprint examination and volume take-offs).
