Job Purpose
The Aircraft Technician is responsible for performing assigned maintenance tasks on aircraft, engines, and components. Operating under the direction of an Authorization Holder or Aircraft Maintenance Executive, you will ensure all work adheres to strict safety, quality, and airworthiness regulatory standards, supporting both company operations and customer airline requirements.
Key Accountabilities

Maintenance & Repair: Execute scheduled maintenance, defect rectifications, and parts replacements under supervision. Use approved technical data, materials, and specialized tooling to ensure airline schedules are met.

Operational Safety: Conduct aircraft marshaling, arrival/departure procedures, towing, and docking according to approved protocols to ensure safe aircraft movement.

Communication & Mentorship: Provide regular progress updates and observations to supervising staff. Offer practical guidance to junior technicians to help develop their technical skills.

Tool & Inventory Management: Maintain personal toolbox inventories per regulatory requirements. Ensure all common tools and equipment are handled with care and returned in serviceable condition.

Component Handling: Follow strict procedures for the storage of removed components and the return of spares/consumables to prevent audit discrepancies.

Compliance & Standards: Adhere to the Company Safety Manual, Maintenance Organization Expositions (CAASL/EASA), and Engineering Procedures.

Workspace Upkeep: Maintain high housekeeping standards within the aircraft and work areas to enhance safety and efficiency.

Training Management: Proactively manage recurrent training requirements (Human Factors, Fuel Tank Safety, EWIS, etc.) by notifying management at least three months in advance.
Requirements
Academic Qualifications:

6 passes at G.C.E. O/L (Local or London) in one sitting, including 4 Credits.

Mandatory Credits: Mathematics, Science, and English (English credit may be obtained in any sitting).
Professional Experience:

Minimum 2 years of experience as an Aircraft Technician on pressurized turbine aircraft used in commercial operations.

Must have at least 6 months of active maintenance experience within the last 24 months.
Approved Training (Must meet one of the following):

Option A: Successful completion of a CAASL IS 147 or EASA Part 147 approved full-time basic course (Category B1.1 or B2).

Option B: A full-time basic course approved by an ICAO member state (subject to curriculum review by SriLankan Engineering Quality).

Option C: A full-time basic and advanced course from an Aeronautical Military school (subject to curriculum review).

Citizenship: Must be a Sri Lankan Citizen.

Age Limit: Maximum 50 years at the time of application.

Note: Final grading (Technician vs. Senior Technician) will be determined based on total years of experience and interview performance.
