Position Summary

As a Dishwasher, you are essential to the seamless operation of our kitchen. You will be responsible for maintaining a steady supply of clean silverware, plates, and cooking equipment, ensuring the culinary team has the tools they need to serve our guests. Beyond dishwashing, you will play a key role in maintaining kitchen sanitation, managing waste, and assisting with the proper storage of deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning & Sanitization: Operate and maintain the dishwasher, hand-wash stations, and pot-scrubbing areas. Use the 3-compartment sink method (detergent, rinse, and sanitize) to ensure all wares meet hygiene standards.

• Quality Control: Inspect cleaned items for residue; pull and stack clean wares in their appropriate areas while sending soiled items back for re-washing.

• Maintenance & Housekeeping: Wash and disinfect kitchen and storeroom areas, including tables, tools, and equipment. Empty trashcans, maintain the dumpster area, and mop assigned departments.

• Waste Management: Properly dispose of glass, break down cardboard boxes, and ensure recyclables are placed in the correct bins.

• Logistics Support: Assist in receiving deliveries, ensuring perishables are stored correctly and stock is rotated to maintain freshness.

Operational Standards & Safety

• Policy Adherence: Follow all company safety and security procedures. Promptly report any maintenance needs, accidents, or unsafe conditions to management.

• Professionalism: Maintain professional communication with colleagues and protect company assets.

• Teamwork: Build positive relationships with the culinary team and support shared goals to ensure guest satisfaction.

• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, or kneel for an entire shift. Must be able to reach, bend, and lift or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.

Qualifications

• Education: No high school diploma or G.E.D. required.

• Experience: Entry-level position; no prior related work or supervisory experience is necessary.

• License/Certification: None required.
