Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Engineer to join our Access Network Operations team. You will be responsible for strategically formulating operational and maintenance strategies to ensure the high-quality, uninterrupted performance of our Radio Access Network (RAN) portfolio. This role drives network rollout excellence, technical analysis, and the deployment of advanced monitoring systems. Key focuses include maximizing network availability, optimizing configurations, and spearheading the adoption of future technologies while ensuring alignment with Minimum Baseline Security Standards (MBSS).

Key Responsibilities

• Incident & Service Management: Oversee service incidents and requests across 2G, 4G, 5G, Fixed Broadband (FBB), P2P, and P2MP systems.

• Complex Troubleshooting: Lead the resolution of complex network faults, ensuring all service restoration adheres to strict SLAs.

• Trend Analysis: Analyze incident patterns to identify systemic limitations and provide data-driven inputs to improve overall service levels.

• System Integration: Oversee the integration of new technical solutions with existing monitoring systems and maintenance procedures.

• Deployment & Testing: Operationalize implementation strategies for new features; prepare rigorous testing and verification procedures to ensure modifications do not disrupt existing services.

• Technical Documentation: Maintain comprehensive product manuals, troubleshooting guidelines, and system maintenance documentation.

• Knowledge Management: Update the divisional knowledge repository and deliver technical training programs to uplift the competency of operational staff.

• Data & Automation: Develop algorithms and data analysis methodologies to transform raw network data into actionable business intelligence and performance reports.

• Continuous Improvement: Drive network quality KPIs and promote automation within the network’s evolution to enhance operational efficiency.

Candidate Profile

Education & Experience:

• Education: B.Sc. Eng. (Hons) degree in Engineering (accredited by IESL) or equivalent.

• Experience: 4–7 years of post-qualification experience in Access Network Operations or a related telecommunications field.

Technical Competencies:

• Network Systems: In-depth knowledge of mobile and fixed broadband systems, server architectures, and legacy telecommunication platforms.

• Modern Tools: Proficiency in IP networking, programming, data analytics, and the application of AI in network environments.

• Security: Understanding of Minimum Baseline Security Standards (MBSS).

Soft Skills:

• Leadership: Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage complex projects.

• Communication: Strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills to manage diverse stakeholders.
