Lead – Quality Assurance
Job Purpose
The Lead – Quality Assurance is responsible for strategically planning, applying, and managing the QA and Quality Control (QC) frameworks for software projects. This role ensures the integrity of software development cycles by implementing rigorous testing methodologies and driving continuous process improvements to deliver high-quality enterprise solutions.
Key Responsibilities

Test Strategy & Planning: Identify and plan comprehensive testing phases—including Unit, Integration, Migration, Load, and Smoke Testing—to ensure all project and design specifications are met.

Requirements Analysis: Analyze technical and system specifications to draft detailed test cases that maximize project resource efficiency and coverage.

Execution & Validation: Oversee the execution of test cases and maintain accurate results to validate system integrity, particularly for high-priority systems like customer care and billing, within strict deadlines.

Defect Management: Lead effective test management and defect tracking cycles. Analyze and report defects while ensuring user requirements are correctly implemented within the system.

Automation & Environment Management: * Develop and maintain automated test scripts to accelerate the QA process.

Prepare and maintain divisional development and QA test environments.

Deployment Support: Manage pre-production deployment, verify source control, and provide technical support to the DBA team during live deployment windows.

Team Leadership: Direct and mentor a team of QA Engineers, providing the guidance necessary to achieve divisional work objectives.

Quality Governance: Administer Quality Centre products and maintain the divisional knowledge base to bridge information gaps and ensure all products meet required quality standards before live use.

Reporting: Consolidate and present comprehensive test status updates to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with functional business requirements.
Candidate Profile
The Person:

Education: BSc in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: 3+ years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance and software testing.

Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC), automation tools, and deployment processes.
