Position Summary

As a Cook III, you will play a vital role in our culinary team, ensuring every dish meets our high standards of quality and presentation. You will be responsible for the end-to-end preparation of ingredients and the execution of recipes using various kitchen equipment. Beyond cooking, you will maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation to ensure seamless kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Food Preparation: Wash, peel, chop, and portion fresh ingredients. Weigh and mix components according to established recipes and food preparation checklists.

  • Cooking Operations: Expertly operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers to prepare hot and cold dishes.

  • Quality Control: Monitor food quality throughout the preparation process and test food to ensure it is cooked to perfection and safe for consumption.

  • Station Management: Set up and break down workstations daily. Ensure all appliances and food items are maintained at the correct temperatures.

  • Sanitation: Clean and disinfect the kitchen area, including tables, tools, knives, and heavy equipment, adhering to strict hygiene standards.

  • Service: Serve food in accurate portions onto the appropriate receptacles for guest presentation.

Operational Standards & Safety

  • Safety First: Follow all company safety, security, and maintenance policies. Promptly report any accidents or unsafe conditions to management.

  • Professionalism: Maintain a clean, professional appearance and uphold the confidentiality of proprietary company information.

  • Teamwork: Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues, supporting team goals and responding appropriately to peer concerns.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand or walk for an entire shift; reach, bend, twist, and lift or move objects up to 25 pounds independently.


Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of related culinary work experience.

  • Supervisory: No prior supervisory experience is required.

  • License/Certification: None required at entry level.
