Job description
Qualification:
• ACCA, ACMA or an equivalent professional accounting qualification.
Experience:
• 8–10 years of relevant finance experience.
Technical Expertise:
• Experience in Accounts Payable, Shared Services or Finance Operations.
• Strong ERP knowledge, preferably SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience with intercompany reconciliations, GR/IR management and month-end closing.
• Good knowledge of withholding tax, VAT/sales tax and applicable tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead end-to-end Accounts Payable (AP) operations across multiple business units and legal entities.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, credit notes, supplier advances, payment proposals and vendor payments.
• Oversee vendor account reconciliations and drive timely resolution of outstanding issues.
• Monitor AP aging and ensure adherence to agreed payment terms while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
• Manage and reconcile GR/IR accounts, ensuring prompt clearing of open items and resolution of aged balances in coordination with Procurement, Supply Chain, and Business Units.
• Coordinate monthly intercompany reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of differences.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring completeness and accuracy of AP-related balances.
• Partner with Treasury to support cash forecasting, liquidity planning and payment scheduling.
• Ensure supplier advances are appropriately supported by approved contracts, purchase orders, and management approvals and oversee their timely settlement and closure.
• Maintain compliance with internal controls, accounting policies and audit requirements related to accounts payable and advance payments.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Accounts Payable team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Drive AP transformation initiatives, process standardization, automation and digitization to improve efficiency and control.
• Develop and monitor KPIs, dashboards and performance metrics to track operational effectiveness and service delivery.
• Support internal and external audits and implement recommendations to strengthen the control environment.
