The Role
We are looking for a dedicated and transformational individual to join our Biyagama team. As a Merchandiser – Development, you will manage all activities from the initial receipt of a style to the final development of fit samples. You will act as a key coordinator between internal and external stakeholders to meet customer requirements, maximize sales revenue, and maintain exceptional service levels.
Key Responsibilities

Customer Management: Cater to specific customer development requirements to manage expectations effectively. Facilitate the commercialization process—including pricing and relevant terms—to drive customer retention and growth.

Sample Development Coordination: Lead the SAMM sample development process and participate in development meetings. Proactively source fabrics and raw materials based on customer requests to ensure prototypes are delivered on time.

System Management: Support the Salesman Sample process by ensuring all relevant data is updated in the system accurately and timely, facilitating a seamless development cycle.

Stakeholder Alignment: Coordinate with relevant internal departments to ensure sample accuracy and adherence to technical specifications.
Knowledge and Skills
Education & Experience:

Education: A Degree in a relevant field or a professional qualification such as CIM.

Experience: 1–2 years of relevant work experience within the apparel industry.
Technical Competencies:

Apparel Knowledge: Strong understanding of fabrics, embellishments, styles, and sampling processes.

IT Literacy: Proficient in MS Office and specialized industry software/ERP systems.

Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage diverse customer portfolios.
