Location: Lunuganga, Bentota
The Role
Set within the historic and beautiful surroundings of Lunuganga, we are looking for a friendly and dependable Shop Assistant to join our team. You will play a key role in the daily operations of our gift shop, ensuring visitors have a seamless experience whether they are browsing our collection or joining a garden tour. This is a fantastic opportunity for a personable individual to work in a unique cultural landmark.
Key Responsibilities

Sales & Service: Handle POS transactions efficiently and provide courteous, professional assistance to all visitors.

Ticketing Support: Assist with the garden tour ticketing process and visitor inquiries.

Inventory Management: Help with stock handling, inventory counts, and monitoring store levels.

Financial Reporting: Support basic daily reconciliations and the preparation of sales summaries.

Procurement: Assist with purchasing activities and ensure the shop is well-stocked.

Operational Standards: Maintain the cleanliness of the shop and ensure all operational and display standards are met.
Prerequisites
Attributes & Skills:

Personality: A responsible, personable individual with a naturally positive attitude.

Teamwork: A willingness to learn and the ability to work effectively within a small, dedicated team.

Core Skills: Basic literacy and numeracy skills for handling transactions and records.
