The Role

We are looking for a talented Demi Chef to join the team at Our Café. In this role, you will support the culinary leadership in delivering high-quality café-style dining experiences. You will be responsible for maintaining the consistency of our offerings while ensuring that your kitchen section operates with the highest standards of efficiency and hygiene.

Job Responsibilities

  • Kitchen Support: Assist the Chef de Cuisine and senior chefs in the day-to-day operations of Our Café.

  • Culinary Execution: Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, ensuring excellence in taste and presentation.

  • Service Readiness: Lead the mise‑en‑place preparation to ensure smooth, efficient service during peak café hours.

  • Section Management: Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and readiness of your assigned kitchen station.

  • Food Safety: Strictly adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation protocols to ensure a safe dining environment.

  • Inventory Control: Assist with stock rotation, proper storage of ingredients, and inventory monitoring to maintain freshness.

  • Sustainability: Minimize food wastage through precise portion control and proper handling practices.

  • Collaboration: Work as a proactive team member, supporting kitchen management with additional duties as required.


Job Requirements

Experience & Education:

  • Education: Certificate or Diploma in Culinary Arts or equivalent professional culinary training.

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of kitchen experience, preferably within a hotel or high-volume café environment.

Technical & Soft Skills:

  • Cuisine Knowledge: A solid foundational knowledge of Western and café-style cuisine is a distinct advantage.

  • Operational Skills: Ability to work efficiently and maintain composure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

  • Safety Awareness: A clear understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.

  • Teamwork: Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to collaborative success.
