Joining the Autonomation team in Mawathagama offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of engineering and apparel manufacturing, developing smart solutions that drive operational scale and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities

Project Viability: Collect operational data, including cycle times and quantities, to calculate Return on Investment (ROI), determine degrees of automation, and assess the feasibility of proposed projects.

Concept Design: Finalize design concepts using diverse research and brainstorming tools, incorporating expert advice, market research, and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).

Technical Design: Utilize CAD software to design mechanical and pneumatic systems, as well as control system wiring for automated machinery.

Programming & Control: Develop flowcharts and State Machine diagrams based on desired machine functionality; perform control system programming and debugging.

Fabrication Leadership: Lead the physical fabrication of mechanical systems and oversee the wiring and manufacturing of electrical and electronic control systems.

Testing & Validation: Conduct rigorous in-house and factory testing to validate requirements regarding product quality, operator ergonomics, and machine reliability.
Knowledge and Skills

Education: Currently an undergraduate pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.

Technical Knowledge: Foundational understanding of mechanical and electrical control systems, including pneumatics.

Design Skills: Strong mechanical system design, simulation, and prototyping skills.

Soft Skills: Analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into functional automated solutions.
