The Role

We are seeking a high-caliber Manager – Mechanical and Electrical Installations to lead the technical infrastructure of our retail network. You will be responsible for the end-to-end design, execution, and optimization of M&E systems for new stores and existing outlets, ensuring they are sustainable, cost-effective, and operationally superior.

What You Will Do

  • System Design & Standardization: Design and evaluate “fit-for-purpose” M&E systems for new outlets; prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and technical specifications.

  • Project Leadership: Lead the end-to-end execution of M&E works for new store projects, ensuring delivery remains within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.

  • Operational Integration: Manage M&E aspects of refurbishments and remodels with a focus on minimizing disruption to ongoing retail operations.

  • Optimization & Compliance: Review and optimize existing M&E systems across the network to ensure full compliance with technical standards and statutory requirements.

  • Contractor Management: Drive high performance from contractors, ensuring strict adherence to safety standards, project deliverables, and technical specifications.

  • Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with local authorities, consultants, and internal departments to secure necessary approvals and ensure seamless project flow.

  • Strategic Procurement: Develop procurement strategies to ensure the timely availability of essential M&E materials, equipment, and specialized services.

  • Sustainability Initiatives: Spearhead energy-saving projects, including solar integration, smart monitoring systems, and continuous efficiency improvements across the fleet.


What You Need

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent professional qualification.

  • Experience: 6 – 8 years of experience in M&E installations and project management, specifically within commercial or retail environments.

  • Project Track Record: Proven ability to deliver large-scale projects with full lifecycle responsibility.

Technical & Leadership Skills:

  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of building services, electrical design, and complex M&E system integration.

  • Software Proficiency: Highly proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project, and Microsoft Excel.

  • Leadership: Demonstrated experience managing in-house teams, external contractors, and multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.

  • Strategic Mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solid understanding of sustainability and energy management systems.
