The Role

Teardrop Hotels is seeking a results-driven and professional Senior Reservations Executive to join our central team in Colombo. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for travel agents and direct guests, ensuring a seamless booking experience across our collection of boutique properties. You will focus on maximizing revenue through high conversion rates, proactive upselling, and maintaining strong industry relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Inquiry Management: Efficiently handle all reservation inquiries from travel agents and direct guests via phone, email, and digital platforms.

• Systems Proficiency: Utilize the Central Reservation System (CRS) and other internal tools to manage bookings and availability accurately.

• Sales & Conversion: Maximize the conversion of inquiries into bookings by communicating in a clear, friendly, and persuasive manner.

• Revenue Growth: Proactively identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and experiences across the entire hotel chain.

• Reporting: Provide management and colleagues with timely updates on occupancy reports, rate parity, and budget targets.

• Distribution Management: Maintain a comprehensive and working knowledge of OTA (Online Travel Agency) platforms and Channel Managers.

• Team Coordination: Assist in the daily coordination and distribution of work tasks within the reservations department to ensure efficiency.

Prerequisites

Experience & Education:

• Mandatory Experience: A minimum of two years of experience in a similar reservations role within the hotel sector.

• Technical Knowledge: Strong familiarity with Channel Managers and OTA extranets.

Core Competencies:

• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on professional etiquette.

• Attitude: A positive, proactive character with a professional attitude and the ability to work under pressure.

• Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with global travel agents and partners.
