Job Role & Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Transformation Office, you will drive process improvement initiatives across the institution. The primary focus of this role is to execute Business Transformation projects alongside the implementation of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system at AKU. Your daily tasks will include analyzing business workflows, recommending strategic adjustments, and driving successful change management initiatives to ensure institution-wide efficiency.

As a core member of the project team, you will:

  • Identify and address critical bottlenecks and inefficiencies within organizational business processes.

  • Conduct focus groups, formulate actionable recommendations, and redesign business workflows to reduce administrative overhead and standardize operations.

  • Analyze complex, large-scale data using modern data modeling techniques, working collaboratively with the team to ensure project clarity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, monitor, and implement transformation projects from inception to completion.

  • Develop robust business cases for change and comprehensive project plans.

  • Map, document, and analyze current business processes to eliminate non-value-adding tasks.

  • Gather data, perform structured analysis, construct process maps, and execute root cause analysis.

  • Design and implement future-state workflows that align with the institution’s strategic objectives.

  • Communicate project updates clearly and effectively to senior management and key stakeholders.

  • Monitor and review the quality of project deliverables across every implementation phase.

  • Take full accountability for project outcomes, ensuring prompt and efficient responses to stakeholder queries.

  • Perform statistical and financial analysis, IT planning, feasibility studies, and requirements gathering.

  • Provide dedicated post-project support (including data analysis and stakeholder engagement) to guarantee the long-term sustainability of hospital initiatives.

  • Produce professional-quality presentations, handover documentation, and final closure reports.

  • Collaborate with international counterparts to build current and future-state process maps for EHR implementation.

Eligibility Criteria & Requirements

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field, preferably from a reputable university.

  • Experience: 1–2 years of practical experience working on process improvement or Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) projects.

  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to draft formal documentation and deliver impactful stakeholder presentations.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in documenting workflows via MS Visio utilizing BPMN 2.0 notation or similar software, alongside advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.

  • Methodologies: Solid foundational knowledge of BPR frameworks, Lean methodologies, and modern data analysis tools.

  • Autonomy: A proactive mindset with the capability to manage assignments independently with minimal direction.
