Job Description
As the Department Manager for Fruits & Vegetables, you will play a critical role in managing the inventory, team, and daily operational standards of the department to maximize profitability and ensure absolute customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:

Inventory & Stock Control: Report directly to the Customer Experience Manager (CEM) and assist in stock ordering to maintain an optimum, waste-conscious stock level within the department.

Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and organize a team of Store Associates, ensuring high standards of mass merchandising, proactive shelf management, organized stock handling, and spotless department cleanliness.

Productivity Improvement: Continually find and apply operational efficiencies to drive team performance and reduce handling friction.

Sales Support: Assist the Floor Manager (FM) in achieving daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets for the fruits and vegetables category.

Overnight Merchandising: Manage the overnight layout setup of the department following Dark Store Operations (DSO) protocols, ensuring total readiness before the store opens to the public.

Visual Merchandising: Guarantee that all fresh produce presentation adheres strictly to the layout planogram and organize eye-catching secondary displays according to corporate guidelines.

Compliance & SOPs: Ensure all departmental activities strictly follow company standard operating procedures (SOPs), corporate policies, and compliance protocols.

Professional Standards: Maintain strict personal and team discipline regarding punctuality, scheduling, and professional attire as outlined in the company uniform guidelines.

Quality Assurance (QA) Check: Execute all defined food safety protocols and checklist procedures to ensure premium product quality at all times. Actively track product expiration dates before, during, and after stock deliveries, utilizing the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) methodology to minimize shrinkage.
Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree or an Intermediate certificate.

Experience: Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in retail operations, inventory control, or fresh produce management.
