R&D CONSULTANT (FOOD TECHNOLOGIST)

PART-TIME

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Technologist to join our team as an R&D Consultant. The selected candidate will work closely with the Manager – Quality Assurance to drive research and development initiatives, product innovation, and process improvements

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and scale up new products through optimized formulations, product trials, and technical documentation

• Improve existing products and manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, consistency, and product quality

• Ensure compliance with food safety standards, regulatory requirements, process validations, and documentation systems

• Support product costing, raw material selection, and margin optimization initiatives

• Coordinate R&D activities with cross-functional teams and provide technical support, training, and customer assistance when required

• Evaluate and approve raw materials and suppliers based on quality, performance, and cost-effectiveness

• Assist in troubleshooting production and quality-related issues through scientific and technical analysis

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related scientific discipline

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Food Manufacturing Industry, preferably in Production, Quality Assurance, or Research & Development

• Sound knowledge of international food regulations and food safety standards

• Exposure to food canning technology and related process validation activities

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills

• Excellent communication and documentation abilities
