Position Summary

As a Stewarding Associate, you are the backbone of the culinary department. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen and dining support areas. From operating advanced cleaning equipment to managing deliveries and waste disposal, your work ensures that our culinary team has the clean tools and environment they need to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Sanitation & Warewashing

  • Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain dishwashing machines, hand wash stations, pot-scrubbing stations, and trash compactors.

  • Cleaning & Disinfecting: Wash and sanitize kitchen areas, storerooms, tables, tools, and equipment.

  • Ware Management: Use the 3-compartment sink method (wash, rinse, sanitize) for dishes; inspect, stack, and store clean wares in their designated areas.

  • Silverware Care: Properly sort, soak, and wash silverware to ensure a spotless finish.

Logistics & Maintenance

  • Receiving: Assist with receiving deliveries, ensuring perishables are stored correctly and stock is rotated.

  • Waste Management: Empty and maintain trashcans and dumpster areas. Properly dispose of glass and break down cardboard for recycling.

  • Facility Upkeep: Clean and mop assigned departments to maintain a safe and hygienic workspace.

Safety & Teamwork

  • Compliance: Follow all company safety and security policies; report maintenance needs or unsafe conditions to management immediately.

  • Collaboration: Develop positive working relationships with the culinary and service teams to reach common goals.

  • Professionalism: Speak with others using clear and professional language and support a “clean-as-you-go” work culture.

Physical Requirements

  • Stand, walk, or move for extended periods.

  • Reach overhead and below the knees (bending, twisting, and stooping).

  • Move, lift, and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: No high school diploma or G.E.D. required.

  • Experience: No prior work experience necessary; we provide the training you need to succeed.

  • Attributes: A strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to quality.
