The Role

At Radisson Collection Resort Galle, our success is rooted in strategic partnerships, smart sourcing, and uncompromising quality. We are looking for a Purchasing Manager who blends commercial acumen with a passion for excellence.

You are a proactive, detail-oriented leader who understands that efficient procurement is the backbone of service quality, cost control, and sustainability. Your work will ensure that our resort has the resources it needs to deliver the premium experiences our guests expect.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Procurement

• Departmental Oversight: Lead the Purchasing Department to ensure high standards of procurement and inventory control.

• Smart Sourcing: Identify and procure goods and services that meet hotel standards, quality requirements, and budgetary goals.

• Supplier Management: Cultivate strong supplier relationships, negotiating contracts and pricing to achieve the best value without compromising reliability.

Operational Efficiency

• Collaboration: Partner with department heads to forecast needs, plan procurement cycles, and ensure materials are available on time.

• Cost & Waste Control: Monitor stock levels and consumption patterns to minimize waste and optimize inventory turnover.

• Compliance: Ensure all purchasing activities align with ethical sourcing practices, company policies, and legal/audit requirements.

Financial Reporting & Strategy

• Budget Management: Prepare and manage the purchasing budget, providing detailed reports on costs, savings, and vendor performance.

• Market Insight: Continuously review market trends to identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement.

• Sustainability: Implement purchasing strategies that support hotel objectives and brand sustainability initiatives.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Industry Background: Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager within the hospitality industry is essential.

• Negotiation Skills: Strong ability to negotiate effectively and manage complex cost-control scenarios.

• Technical Competency: Sharp analytical skills and a high level of proficiency in inventory management systems.
