We are looking for a motivated and security-conscious Intern – Cloud Solutions and Services (Security) to join our team, reporting directly to the Consultant – Cloud Solutions & Services.

The Role

This internship offers a deep dive into the world of cloud security. You will assist in maintaining a robust security posture across multi-cloud environments, supporting assessments, and helping to remediate vulnerabilities to ensure our digital solutions remain state-of-the-art and secure.

Key Responsibilities

Security Operations & Monitoring

  • CSPM Support: Assist in maintaining and enhancing Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) tools and dashboards.

  • Alert Management: Monitor, triage, and escalate cloud-based security alerts and vulnerabilities.

  • Incident Response: Support incident response activities and investigations related to cloud platforms and workloads.

Assessments & Compliance

  • Environment Reviews: Support cloud security assessments across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.

  • Configuration Audits: Conduct reviews to ensure alignment with best practices and standards such as CIS Benchmarks, NIST, and ISO 27001.

  • Gap Remediation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve cloud security gaps.

Documentation & Research

  • Technical Writing: Assist in preparing security architecture documentation, policies, and procedures.

  • Knowledge Sharing: Stay updated on evolving threats and compliance requirements, contributing to internal knowledge-sharing initiatives.

  • Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation for all assigned tasks and engagements.

Candidate Profile

Education & Knowledge:

  • Academic Background: Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

  • Cloud Foundations: Foundational knowledge of public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

  • Security Principles: Basic understanding of IAM (Identity and Access Management), encryption, and network protocols.

  • Compliance Awareness: Familiarity with frameworks like CIS Benchmarks, NIST, ISO 27001, or GDPR.

Preferred Assets:

  • Tools: Exposure to Microsoft Defender for Cloud or similar security suites.

  • Certifications: Microsoft Security Operations Analyst Associate or ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity (CC).

  • Technical Skills: Basic scripting knowledge in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

  • A proactive attitude toward learning new technologies and threats.
