The Role
We are looking for a versatile and commercially-minded Executive – Business Development to support our growth and brand presence. This multifaceted role blends financial analysis, marketing, and content creation. You will play a key part in evaluating investment opportunities, managing high-stakes tender processes, and executing branding strategies that enhance our organization’s visibility within the B2B sector.
Job Accountabilities
Investment & Market Analysis

Financial Evaluation: Conduct investment analysis for new projects, charters, and M&A opportunities by evaluating cash flows, financial performance, and key metrics.

Due Diligence: Support the due diligence process through rigorous research on sector trends, competitor movements, and market benchmarks.
Sales & Growth Support

Tender Management: Lead and manage the end-to-end tender process to secure new business.

Lead Generation: Identify emerging market opportunities and potential leads to drive client acquisition.

Proposals: Develop impactful corporate presentations and commercial proposals.
Marketing & Branding

Brand Strategy: Execute branding campaigns and ensure consistent brand application across all channels in line with corporate guidelines.

Event Management: Evaluate and coordinate participation in events, conferences, and industry awards; manage schedules and budgets to boost credibility.

Content Creation: Produce multimedia content, including videos and graphic design materials, to support digital engagement and corporate collateral.
Operations & Compliance

Performance Tracking: Monitor brand visibility and business development metrics while tracking budgets and coordinating with vendors.

Safety & Standards: Support OHS and ISO compliance by assisting with audits and maintaining a safe, organized work environment.
Minimum Requirements
Education & Experience:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Management, Communications, or a related field.

Professional Certification: CIM (UK) or SLIM (Sri Lanka) qualification is highly preferred.

Experience: 0–2 years of experience in branding, marketing, or corporate communications.

Industry Context: Familiarity with shipping, logistics, or B2B corporate environments is a significant advantage.
Technical Skills:

Software: Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).

Creative Tools: Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) or Canva/CapCut is a major advantage.

Digital Literacy: Knowledge of social media platforms and digital tools relevant to corporate branding.
