The Role
The Senior Executive – Industrial Engineering is responsible for driving production efficiency through technical precision and process optimization. This role involves calculating SMV/SAH, preparing Yamazumi charts, balancing production lines, and optimizing machinery and manpower layouts. You will focus on method improvement to reduce SMV and increase overall productivity while maintaining strict adherence to organizational health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities

Production Planning: Assist in pre-production activities to ensure the targeted Production Start Date is achieved for your assigned section.

Efficiency & Productivity: Take ownership of achieving planned productivity targets and managing day-to-day Industrial Engineering activities.

Technical Analysis: Perform accurate and timely calculations, including SAH and efficiency metrics, for every garment style.

Process Optimization: Utilize Yamazumi charts and line balancing techniques to optimize machinery and manpower layouts for maximum flow.

Method Improvement: Continuously evaluate sewing techniques and workflows to reduce SMV and enhance manufacturing excellence.

Leadership: Provide technical guidance and training to IE Officers, overseeing their development and performance.
Candidate Profile
Education:
-
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Industrial Engineering or Clothing Technology.

Must possess a GSD License or have significant experience working with the GSD system.
Experience:
-
1 to 3+ years of experience in Industrial Engineering within the apparel sector.

Familiarity with entry-level STEP processes.
Technical Competencies:

Knowledge of GSD & IE Concepts (P2): Strong proficiency in General Sewing Data and core engineering principles.

Sewing Techniques (P2): Deep understanding of garment construction and machinery capabilities.

Manufacturing Excellence (P1): Foundation in operational excellence and waste reduction.

Integrated Value Chain (P1): Awareness of how IE impacts the end-to-end apparel value chain.
