Role Overview
The Network Architect is responsible for the strategic design and implementation of secure, scalable network connectivity across a multi-cloud ecosystem. You will primarily focus on bridging GCP and Azure environments to support six distinct SDLC environments and robust Disaster Recovery (DR) configurations. This role is critical in ensuring high availability, security, and seamless data flow across hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Connectivity & Architecture

Cross-Cloud Integration: Design and manage cross-cloud connectivity solutions, including Site-to-Site VPNs and Azure ExpressRoute/GCP Cloud Interconnect.

VNet/VPC Design: Define and implement Azure VNet architecture, including subnets, segmentation, and GCP VPC peering strategies.

SaaS Integration: Ensure highly secure and optimized connectivity between various SaaS components and core cloud environments.
Security & Governance

Policy Implementation: Design and deploy Network Security Groups (NSGs), sophisticated routing tables, and comprehensive firewall policies.

Compliance: Ensure all network architectures adhere to strict corporate compliance, security benchmarks, and governance standards.
Disaster Recovery (DR) & Reliability

DR Design: Architect network replication strategies to support Disaster Recovery objectives.

Failover Validation: Lead the validation of failover and failback connectivity to ensure business continuity during outages.

High Availability: Plan and implement High Availability (HA) network configurations to minimize downtime.
Candidate Profile
Required Skills & Expertise:
-
Azure Networking: Advanced expertise in Azure-native networking services and architecture.

GCP Proficiency: Deep knowledge of Google Cloud Platform networking, including VPCs, shared VPCs, and peering.

Hybrid Cloud Experience: Proven track record in designing connectivity between on-premises data centers and public clouds, as well as multi-cloud environments.

Security Design: Expertise in firewall management, routing protocols (BGP), and zero-trust network principles.

Strategic Planning: Significant experience in DR and HA network planning within enterprise-scale environments.
Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Professional certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect, GCP Professional Cloud Network Engineer, or CCNP/CCIE are highly desirable.
