Role Overview

We are seeking a data-driven Software Engineer to join our team in Colombo. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong foundation in business intelligence and data engineering. You will be responsible for building robust data visualizations, optimizing complex queries, and supporting our growing data infrastructure.

Key Qualifications & Skills

Business Intelligence & Visualization

• Power BI: Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on experience is mandatory.

• Technical Depth: Advanced proficiency in DAX and Power Query for complex data modeling and transformation.

Data Engineering & Scripting

• SQL: Minimum of 2+ years of experience in writing and optimizing complex queries, managing relational databases, and ensuring data integrity.

• Python: Minimum of 1+ years of experience in Python development, particularly for data manipulation or automation tasks.

Preferred Technical Experience (Added Advantages)

• Experience working with Data Lakes and large-scale data storage.

• Familiarity with GCP (Google Cloud Platform) or Databricks.

• Hands-on experience with PySpark for distributed data processing.

Core Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-impact Power BI dashboards and reports to drive business decision-making.

• Develop and optimize SQL scripts and DAX expressions to handle large datasets efficiently.

• Utilize Python to streamline data workflows and automate repetitive processes.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new data sources into our existing analytics environment.

• Stay updated on emerging technologies in the GCP/Databricks ecosystem to improve our data architecture.
