The Role

The Assistant – Knitting plays a vital role in the front-end production process. You will be responsible for coordinating shift operations, ensuring the seamless execution of the production plan, and maintaining a high-standard working environment. This role is ideal for a proactive individual who excels at real-time problem-solving and technical coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Team & Environment Management

  • Shift Oversight: Monitor shift attendance and manage associate workflows to ensure consistent operational output.

  • Culture & Safety: Foster a positive team culture and ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and a secure working environment.

  • Process Leadership: Direct front-end knitting processes among associates to maintain quality and efficiency.

Production Coordination

  • Plan Execution: Communicate the daily production plan to the technical team, ensuring all machine changeovers are managed with minimal downtime.

  • Output Optimization: Drive daily production targets by identifying and resolving technical or operational bottlenecks through effective problem-solving.

  • Resource Allocation: Align with the knitting plan by allocating specific diameter-wise machines based on actual machine output and planned requirements.


Candidate Profile

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Education: Passed GCE Advanced Level in the Science Stream, or possess a Diploma/Certification in Science, Engineering, or Textile Technology.

  • Experience: 1–2 years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing or textile environment.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Communication: Sound verbal and written communication skills, with an aptitude for negotiation.

  • Technical Mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage complex production variables.

  • Innovation: A degree of ingenuity and a drive to suggest innovative improvements to the knitting process.

  • Adaptability: Ability to work effectively in a high-speed, technical manufacturing setting.
