Azure AI Consultant

Location: Colombo, Sri Lanka

We are seeking an experienced Azure AI Consultant to design, develop, and deploy AI-powered applications using Microsoft Azure technologies. In this role, you will work closely with both technical and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, intelligent solutions that solve real-world business challenges.

You will play a hands-on role in the full solution lifecycle, from requirements gathering and architecture design through to development, testing, deployment, and optimization. This position is ideal for someone passionate about AI, cloud technologies, and building modern applications that leverage Azure AI capabilities.

Ideal Profile

Proven background in technical consulting and solution delivery roles
Strong hands-on software development experience
Experience building web applications on Azure using .NET or Python
Proficiency with modern JavaScript frameworks, ideally React
Experience developing AI-powered solutions using technologies such as OpenAI, Semantic Kernel, or LangChain
Strong understanding of Azure AI services including Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, and Cognitive Services
Experience designing and architecting applications using Azure cloud-native services such as App Services, Azure Functions, and Logic Apps
Knowledge of Azure Integration Services will be highly regarded
Strong understanding of data technologies including SQL, Cosmos DB, and Microsoft Fabric
Broad knowledge of cloud architecture principles including security and networking
Excellent stakeholder management and requirements gathering skills
Ability to produce clear and detailed technical documentation
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
Comfortable working in fast-paced, collaborative environments
Ability to work effectively in remote and distributed teams

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy AI-enabled applications on Microsoft Azure
Build scalable and secure solutions leveraging Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, and Azure Cognitive Services
Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and define solution architecture
Develop robust, production-ready code and integrate Azure AI capabilities into modern applications
Perform testing, optimization, and performance tuning across solutions
Ensure solutions align with cloud security and architectural best practices
Produce technical documentation and implementation artefacts
Translate complex business requirements into practical technical solutions
Work closely with delivery teams to bring AI projects from concept through to deployment
Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation across AI and cloud initiatives
