Job Purpose:

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure Planning and Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that Dialog Data Centre networks are safeguarded against internal and external security threats. This role involves identifying areas for improvement within our current network infrastructure and developing a clear roadmap to enhance efficiency and robustness. The ideal candidate will possess a professional work ethic and the ability to identify critical problems, weaknesses, and bottlenecks in the production network, providing recommendations for necessary remedies.

The Job:

· Design and implement Data Centre and user network solutions to ensure maximum network security.

· Manage LAN/WAN infrastructure, proxy systems, wireless networks, load balancers, IPS, and Network Access Control infrastructure at DAP, along with operational and InfoSec-related scopes of Web Application Firewalls.

· Oversee operational and information security aspects of new IT Data Centre architecture with SDN-related operations.

· Manage L2/L3 switches, routers, and wireless infrastructure to maintain 99.9% uptime.

· Provide day-to-day network access requirements and configuration for Data Centre and end users on network devices.

· Deliver 24×7 operational support, troubleshooting, and solution implementation for network and security issues.

· Analyze and optimize network architecture to enhance performance and reliability in line with new requirements.

· Migrate non-SDN networks from legacy Data Centres to SDN-capable network infrastructure.

· Facilitate new deployments for exposing Dialog resources and systems to external parties via VPN, wireless, WAF, and other secure network connectivity methods.

· Introduce new technologies in network security to optimize the current security system.

· Identify common network threats and troubleshoot network security issues, providing solutions or remediation.

· Stay informed about current network security terms, optimization strategies, and emerging security trends.

· Conduct detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and recommend actions to prevent recurrence of issues (experience with monitoring tools such as App Dynamics, Manage Engine, Ops Manager, and Oracle Enterprise Manager is required).

· Provide expert advice and recommendations to address network layer architectural weaknesses in in-house developed corporate applications.

· Perform detailed capacity planning and impact analysis on the existing production network, especially during site migrations, replacement of obsolete network components, and upgrades.

· Collaborate closely with infrastructure support teams, DBAs, and Sys Admins to identify infrastructure gaps and recommend improvements.

· Conduct update sessions and keep stakeholders informed about relevant areas and new technologies, providing necessary technical expertise and actively participating in ongoing improvement processes.

· Document and update network documentation and configurations to meet varied documentation requirements.

· Act as the Project Manager for active/passive network projects carried out by the IT Network team, ensuring effective project delivery according to the project plan.

The Person:

· Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or a related field, along with relevant network certifications.

· Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar role.

· Quick learner with the ability to adapt to a dynamic working environment.

· Knowledge of the telecommunications field.

· Understanding of network security developments and management.

· Familiarity with network architecture deployment and connectivity methods.
