Job Summary
The Director of Human Resources is a strategic member of the Property Executive Committee, reporting directly to the General Manager with a functional dotted line to the Regional Senior Director of HR. In this high-impact role, you will provide expert HR generalist knowledge to influence and execute business objectives. You will lead talent acquisition, succession planning, and performance management while acting as a key coach and change manager to drive the property’s success.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Management

Strategy Execution: Translate business priorities into actionable HR strategies and lead the implementation of brand-wide initiatives.

Talent & Succession: Coordinate the Human Capital Review process, lead succession planning, and build a robust leadership pipeline.

Change Management: Serve as a lead change agent for initiatives with high employee impact, ensuring smooth organizational transitions.

Owner Relations: Attend owner meetings to provide context on HR metrics, including retention, training results, and employee satisfaction.

Cost Control: Develop proactive approaches to enhance performance outcomes and manage labor-related costs.
Staffing & Talent Acquisition

Recruitment Strategy: Collaborate with hiring managers to develop staffing strategies, consulting on compensation, benefits, and local market trends.

Selection Expertise: Serve as a coach and expert facilitator for the interviewing process to ensure the highest quality of hires.

Pipeline Development: Manage the talent cadre and optimize work processes to meet evolving business needs.
Compensation & Staff Development

Total Rewards: Lead the planning of the hourly employee total compensation strategy and ensure internal equity through quarterly analysis.

Incentive Programs: Design and implement recognition and incentive packages tailored to property priorities.

Team Leadership: Supervise and train the on-property HR staff, acting as a resource for complex employee relations issues.

Employee Relations: Continually reinforce positive employee relations concepts and champion the annual engagement survey follow-up.
Candidate Profile
Education & Experience:

Option 1: 2-year degree from an accredited university in Human Resources or Business Administration with 4 years of experience in HR or management operations.

Option 2: 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration with 2 years of experience in HR or management operations.
Professional Skills:

High level of HR generalist expertise and familiarity with labor laws.

Proficiency in HR technology (e.g., myHR) and data-driven reporting.

Exceptional communication and presentation skills suitable for Executive Committee and Owner interactions.
