Position Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Full-Time Senior Estimation Engineer – MEP to join our expanding team in Sharjah. In this pivotal role, you will take ownership of accurate cost estimation, strategic cost control, and comprehensive tendering for diverse MEP projects. Your expertise will ensure our bids remain highly competitive, fully compliant, and aligned with client specifications and organizational targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Cost Estimation & Tendering: Prepare detailed MEP cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and comprehensive tender pricing for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works.

• Document Review: Analyze tender drawings, project specifications, and contract terms to identify the exact scope, potential risks, and strategic value engineering opportunities.

• Take-Offs & Analysis: Perform precise quantity and material take-offs alongside thorough labor cost analysis.

• Vendor Management: Coordinate directly with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive quotations; perform rigorous technical and commercial evaluations.

• Financial Budgeting: Develop preliminary project budgets, cost plans, and feasibility estimates while analyzing project overheads and margins to guarantee accurate pricing and profitability.

• Post-Tender Support: Assist in post-tender clarifications, contract negotiations, and project handovers by providing detailed cost breakdowns to project execution teams.

• Benchmarking: Maintain and update historical cost data to guide and benchmark future tenders.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred).

• Experience: A minimum of 8 years of dedicated experience within the UAE handling MEP estimation and tendering (Required).

• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of MEP systems, materials, pricing structures, and local UAE authority regulations.

• Software Proficiency: Highly proficient in specialized estimation software, advanced Excel, and AutoCAD.

• Soft Skills: Sharp analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities paired with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Project Exposure: Prior experience working on residential, commercial, high-rise, or mixed-use developments is highly advantageous.
