Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a high-integrity, technically sharp Manager of Payroll Operations to lead our mission-critical compensation engine. This isn’t a role for a passive administrator; we need a meticulous leader who can navigate the complexities of multi-entity payroll cycles with surgical precision. You will be responsible for ensuring that our most valuable assets—our people—are compensated accurately and on time, while maintaining ironclad compliance with evolving Indian labor laws and global internal controls.

Core Responsibilities:

• Oversee the end-to-end execution of monthly payroll cycles for a diverse workforce, ensuring zero-error delivery.

• Manage complex statutory compliance requirements, including TDS, PF, ESIC, and Professional Tax, across multiple jurisdictions.

• Implement robust audit frameworks to validate payroll data integrity and mitigate operational risks.

• Lead the integration of advanced payroll technologies and automated reporting tools to enhance processing efficiency.

• Serve as a strategic partner to HR and Finance teams, providing deep-dive analysis on compensation trends and budgetary variances.

Professional Profile:

• Extensive experience in managing large-scale payroll operations within a professional services or consulting environment.

• Mastery of Indian payroll legislation and tax regulations.

• Proficiency in enterprise-grade HCM and payroll software (e.g., Workday, SAP, or SuccessFactors).

• Exceptional leadership skills with a commitment to process excellence and data security.
