The Role

We are looking for a dedicated Executive – Industrial Systems Engineering to drive transformation at our Kilinochchi facility. You will be responsible for spearheading continuous improvement initiatives, performing detailed SMV analyses, and optimizing production workflows to maximize productivity and efficiency across our operations.

Key Responsibilities

Method Engineering & Development

  • Technical Advisory: Provide expert suggestions during development meetings based on manufacturing best practices to ensure seamless operational flow.

  • Sample Analysis: Critically analyze samples and prepare detailed operation breakdowns. Utilize GSD systems to assign Standard Minute Values (SMVs) and identify opportunities for cost reduction.

  • Manufacturability: Monitor product development to ensure all items are designed with the most efficient manufacturing methods in mind.

Costing & Resource Planning

  • Cost Optimization: Generate accurate costing sheets and offer various costing options to customers to remain competitive while maintaining product innovation.

  • Material Sourcing: Calculate and provide precise fabric consumption data during the initial sample stage to facilitate timely procurement.

  • Capacity Generation: Categorize seasonal chassis and advise planning teams on capacity generation strategies to enhance total plant productivity.

Operations & Workflow Optimization

  • Layout Design: Prepare efficient machine layouts to ensure the optimal allocation of machinery and manpower for maximum output.

  • Process Standardization: Standardize methods and de-skill operations during the development phase to prevent bottlenecks during bulk production.

  • Innovation: Research and develop specialized machine attachments and tools to simplify complex tasks and boost efficiency.

  • Cycle Time Management: Perform daily cycle time studies to identify module potential and enhance manufacturing capacity.


Candidate Profile

Education & Experience:

  • Academic Background: A Degree in Textile and Clothing, Physical Science, or a related field from a recognized university.

  • Work Experience: 2–3 years of relevant experience in Industrial Engineering or Work Study within the apparel industry.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of GSD, SMV analysis, and work-study techniques.

  • IT Literacy: High level of proficiency in MS Office and specialized IE software.

  • Communication: Excellent presentation and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Analytical Mindset: A proactive problem-solver with a sharp focus on data-driven productivity improvements.
