The Role

We are seeking a results-oriented Senior Executive – Business Development to be a driving force of growth at MAS Matrix. You will act as the primary liaison between our customers and internal teams, managing the journey from style receipt to fit-sample development. Your goal is to maximize sales revenue and ensure exceptional service levels by bridging the gap between innovative design and commercial reality.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Acquisition & Account Growth

  • Relationship Management: Liaise with existing customers and potential leads to drive customer onboarding, retention, and strategic growth.

  • Sample Commercialization: Work closely with the Category Team and the customer during the sample development process to ensure products meet acceptance criteria regarding time, quality, and cost.

  • Service Excellence: Act as the key point of contact to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and the successful conversion of samples into production orders.

Operational Coordination

  • Order Fulfillment: Follow up on customer forecasts and order placements, coordinating with production planning to ensure the timely fulfillment of sample orders.

  • System Management: Maintain and update internal systems to track order progress and production status accurately.

  • Resource Optimization: Collaborate with Work-Study and Industrial Engineering (IE) teams to monitor raw material consumption per style, ensuring production parameters align with delivery commitments.

Financial & Strategic Support

  • Costing Analysis: Partner with Finance and IE teams to provide accurate costing and product information, facilitating data-driven management and operational decisions.

  • Market Insight: Stay informed on changing business dynamics to support the expansion of the MVTM platform and other innovative product solutions.


Candidate Profile

Education & Experience:

  • Academic Background: A Degree in Marketing or a professional qualification such as CIM.

  • Industry Experience: 3–4 years (or more) of experience in business development, sales, or key account management within the textile/apparel manufacturing industry.

  • Technical Knowledge: Prior experience with flat knitting or related apparel production technologies is highly desirable.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Client Management: Proven track record of acquiring and managing high-value accounts, with experience handling both domestic and international clients.

  • Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of costing, lead times, and the commercialization process in garment manufacturing.

  • Communication: Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at various levels.

  • Organization: Capable of managing multiple projects and style developments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
