Job Summary
This is an entry-level management position focused on supporting the day-to-day operations of Housekeeping, Public Spaces, and Laundry. You will work side-by-side with employees to maintain pristine guestrooms and resort areas. The role involves conducting rigorous inspections, holding the team accountable for corrective actions, and ensuring high levels of guest and employee satisfaction while operating within the departmental budget.
Key Responsibilities
Managing Housekeeping Operations

Daily Workflow: Obtain room status reports and prospective check-outs to prepare efficient work assignments for the team.

Inspection Program: Assist in supervising a comprehensive inspection program for all guestrooms and public spaces to ensure brand standards are met.

Inventory Management: Conduct regular stock takes of linen and guest supplies; assist in ordering to ensure the team has the necessary tools and equipment.

Cross-Departmental Synergy: Communicate room statuses to the Front Desk promptly and coordinate closely with Engineering for any maintenance needs.

Leadership: Supervise Housekeeping and related areas in the absence of the Department Manager; observe service behaviors and provide real-time coaching and feedback.

Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA) and oversee all Lost and Found and Loss Prevention procedures.
Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service

Guest Relations: Act as a positive role model for guest interactions and maintain a visible presence in the resort.

Problem Resolution: Proactively handle guest concerns or complaints, seeking assistance from senior leadership when necessary.

Performance Review: Assist in reviewing guest satisfaction results and comment cards with employees to continuously improve service levels.
Candidate Profile
Education & Experience:

Option 1: High school diploma or GED with 1 year of experience in housekeeping or a related professional area.

Option 2: 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or Business Administration (no work experience required).
