Position Summary
As a Commi I, you are a vital part of the culinary team, responsible for preparing high-quality dishes that reflect our brand standards. You will manage specific stations, oversee food preparation, and ensure that every plate meets our rigorous quality and presentation guidelines. This role requires technical skill, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Culinary Operations

Food Preparation: Prepare and cook food according to established recipes, quality standards, and presentation checklists. This includes hot dishes, cold foods, and special dietary requests.

Station Management: Regulate temperatures of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters. Ensure proper thawing procedures by moving food from freezer to refrigerator storage.

Quality Control: Monitor the quality and quantity of food prepared, ensuring correct portions, arrangements, and garnishes.

Inventory & Communication: Maintain food logs and inform the Chef of excess items for daily specials. Alert service staff regarding menu specials or out-of-stock items.
Leadership & Team Support

Mentorship: Assist management in training, coaching, and motivating junior associates; serve as a positive role model in the kitchen.

Coordination: Communicate effectively with the team during busy periods to ensure smooth service and support team goals.

Professionalism: Maintain a clean, professional appearance and strictly follow all company safety and security policies.
Kitchen Safety & Maintenance

Environment: Report any maintenance needs, accidents, or unsafe work conditions to the manager immediately.

Safety Standards: Complete all required safety training and certifications to ensure a secure working environment.
Candidate Profile
Experience & Qualifications:

Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree in Culinary Arts or a related field.

Experience: At least 3 years of related work experience in a professional kitchen environment.

Leadership: While no formal supervisory experience is required, a willingness to coach and assist in training is essential.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.

Capability to reach overhead and below the knees (bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping).

Ability to lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
