Job Purpose

Commercial Bank of Dubai (CBD) is undergoing a major transformation to modernize its data strategy and operationalize AI across its enterprise. As a leading institution recognized by Forbes, we are seeking an experienced AI Leader to execute our ambitious AI strategy. The AI Platforms & Adoption Lead is responsible for delivering end-to-end AI solutions, analyzing machine learning feasibility, and advising the C-Suite on emerging trends. This role is pivotal in driving an industrial-scale AI program focused on efficiency, revenue generation, and robust governance.

Principal Accountabilities

Strategic Execution & Portfolio Management

• Strategy Ownership: Execute the bank’s AI roadmap with the objective of delivering 250 production-grade AI agents within 18 months.

• Portfolio Governance: Prioritize the AI agent portfolio based on business value, risk appetite, and regulatory constraints.

• Metrics & ROI: Establish and track success metrics such as productivity gains, cost reduction, and customer experience impact.

Platform Delivery & Scalability

• Platform Design: Lead the build and evolution of the bank’s AI platforms, including LLM orchestration, agent frameworks, MLOps/LLMOps, and secure data pipelines.

• Enterprise Integration: Ensure all AI platforms are scalable, cloud-ready, and securely integrated with core banking systems.

• Standardization: Drive the use of repeatable patterns and toolkits to reduce deployment time while maintaining high quality.

Industrialization & Adoption

• AI Agent Factory: Implement an “Agent Factory” operating model to industrialize the full lifecycle of AI agents, from use-case intake to production monitoring.

• Workflow Integration: Partner with business units to move beyond pilots, ensuring AI agents are embedded into real-world workflows and redesigning processes for maximum impact.

• Change Management: Lead enablement programs to build AI confidence and capability across the bank.

Risk, Compliance & Partnership

• Responsible AI: Embed model risk management and regulatory compliance into the design of all platforms.

• Governance: Work with Risk, Legal, and Compliance teams to define AI guardrails, ensuring data privacy, fairness, and explainability.

• Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with AI vendors and hyperscalers, negotiating models that support rapid scaling.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.

• Leadership: 10+ years of banking or financial services experience, with at least 7 years in a managerial role focused on practical AI solutions.

• Transformation Track Record: Proven experience leading at least two large-scale data or AI transformation programs end-to-end.

• Technical Expertise: Proficiency with Copilot frameworks (Studio/Foundry), Machine Learning, NLP, and MLOps/LLMOps.

• Skills: Strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a deep understanding of object-oriented design and agile delivery patterns.
