Junior Collection Officer (UAE National)

The Role
We are seeking a motivated Junior Collection Officer (UAE National) to join our Finance team in Dubai. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining a healthy cash flow by managing a portfolio of customer accounts, resolving payment disputes, and ensuring timely collections in accordance with our corporate credit policies.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Support & Reporting

Performance Insights: Provide management with data and insights on portfolio performance to facilitate informed decision-making.

Process Compliance: Follow all departmental policies and standard operating procedures to ensure consistent and controlled financial workflows.

Reporting: Utilize strong Excel skills to prepare periodic and ad-hoc reports regarding your handled portfolio.
Core Collection Operations

Customer Communication: Proactively follow up on overdue accounts through calls, emails, and site visits to ensure timely payment.

Account Reconciliation: Reconcile customer accounts to identify and understand the root causes of payment disputes.

Dispute Resolution: Collaborate internally with stakeholders to facilitate the successful resolution of customer issues and discrepancies.

System Management: Maintain and update the Accounts Receivable (AR) system with detailed logs of all follow-up actions taken.

Documentation: Issue and submit invoices and dunning letters to customers, ensuring all required supporting documentation is attached and accurate.
Candidate Profile
Education & Experience:

Nationality: Must be a UAE National (Emiratisation role).

Experience: Relevant experience in collections is required, ideally handling a portfolio of at least 200 customers. Experience within a construction or engineering organization is highly preferred.
Skills & Competencies:

Language: Professional fluency in both English and Arabic (written and spoken) is essential.

Technical: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with AR systems or ERP software.

Communication: Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills to handle customer interactions with professionalism and tact.

Organization: A disciplined approach to follow-up activities to support target achievement and continuous process improvement.
