The Role

The Process Associate is responsible for the accurate and timely execution of core accounting transactions within an ERP environment. This role offers hands-on exposure to global accounting standards and processes, requiring a high level of precision and adherence to strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Key Responsibilities

Transaction Processing & Accounting

  • Core Operations: Process accounting transactions across Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and Fixed Assets (FA) modules using the SAP ERP system.

  • Accuracy & SLAs: Ensure all financial entries are processed accurately and within the defined turnaround times (SLAs).

  • Period-End Support: Assist the finance team with essential periodic activities, including month-end and year-end closing tasks.

Compliance & Collaboration

  • Internal Controls: Maintain strict compliance with company policies, financial regulations, and internal audit controls.

  • Problem Solving: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve transaction queries and ensure the integrity of financial records.

  • Documentation: Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation to support audit requirements.


Person Specifications

Education & Qualifications:

  • GCE A/L: Qualification with a strong Finance background is mandatory.

  • Higher Education: Currently following a degree in Finance, Accounting, or Management, or a professional qualification (e.g., CA, ACCA, CIMA, CMA, AAT, or CPA) is highly preferred.

Experience & Skills:

  • Experience: A minimum of 6 months of experience in an Accounting or Audit environment is preferred.

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong computer literacy, particularly in MS Excel, is mandatory.

  • ERP Knowledge: Familiarity with SAP or other accounting software is a distinct advantage.

  • Communication: Proficiency in English is required; fluency in Sinhala or Tamil is an added advantage.
