Job Responsibilities

Reporting & Analytics: Prepare and maintain regular accounts receivable (AR), aging analysis, and collection performance reports for management review.

Account Monitoring: Manage and monitor customer credit accounts closely to ensure the timely collection of outstanding balances.

Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate division-wise debtor meetings with sales teams to review payment updates and proactively identify collection bottlenecks.

Compliance: Ensure absolute compliance with internal corporate credit policies and external financial regulations.

Dispute Resolution: Resolve customer billing disputes and account discrepancies in close collaboration with the Sales and Finance teams.

Data Integrity: Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date customer credit and ledger records within the ERP system.

Period Closing: Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities specifically related to accounts receivable.

Risk Mitigation: Recommend corrective actions to reduce bad debt exposure, optimize credit risk, and improve company cash flow.

Credit Assessment: Assess new and existing customer creditworthiness to set or review credit limits in strict line with company risk parameters.
Person Specifications (Requirements)

Education & Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance, and/or a partial professional qualification from a recognized accounting body (e.g., AAT, CA Sri Lanka, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent).

Experience: Prior proven experience as a Credit Controller, Accounts Receivable Officer, or in a similar financial/collection role.

Domain Knowledge: A strong foundational understanding of credit control procedures, financial risk assessment, and end-to-end AR processes.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office applications, with an advanced command of MS Excel.

ERP Exposure: Prior hands-on experience working with the SAP ERP system will be considered a distinct advantage.
