Key Purpose of the Job

The Assistant Manager – Merchandising will report directly to the Deputy General Manager – Merchandising. In this role, you will be responsible for driving and achieving order management objectives for your assigned categories within the Strategic Business Unit (SBU). This includes meeting core Bulk KPIs, such as On-Time Delivery (OTD), Quality, Topline growth, and overall Profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • KPI & Budget Delivery: Ensure 100% On-Time Delivery (OTD) and successful achievement of commercial budgets.

  • T&A and Customer Coordination: Manage Time & Action (T&A) calendars at 100% efficiency. Handle front-line customer coordination to support departmental goals, daily operations, and total compliance.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Maintain strong customer relationships, while coordinating internally and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational objectives.

  • Procurement Oversight: Drive daily bulk production and procurement statuses by closely overseeing ongoing T&A management.

  • Operations Liaison: Facilitate and streamline the delivery process by coordinating effectively with the plant Operations team.

Education and Experience (Requirements)

  • Education: An academic degree or professional qualification in Marketing, Clothing Technology, or a relevant apparel-related stream.

  • Experience: A minimum of 4 years of hands-on merchandising experience within the apparel manufacturing industry.

  • Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of fabrics, trims, garment construction, and various apparel finishing techniques.

  • Core Skills:

    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with a proven ability to manage diverse stakeholders effectively.

    • Hands-on experience in garment costing, raw material sourcing, and vendor negotiation.

    • Strong time management and prioritization skills to perform effectively under pressure.
