Key Purpose of the Job

The Executive / Lecturer – Merchandising & Marketing is responsible for delivering high-quality, impactful instruction to students at the Brandix Corporate Campus (BCC). The role includes conducting lectures, assessing student performance, contributing to ongoing curriculum development, and supporting core academic operations such as student interviews, course scheduling, and examination management. The ultimate goal is to ensure smooth program execution while fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Academic Delivery: Deliver engaging lectures, practical sessions, and interactive workshops for diploma programs in Fashion, Apparel, and Textiles, utilizing industry-relevant content and modern teaching methodologies.

  • Student Mentorship: Guide, mentor, and support students both academically and professionally, providing constructive feedback on assignments, research projects, and examinations.

  • Academic Administration: Manage day-to-day academic administration, including conducting student selection interviews, drafting timetables, tracking attendance, maintaining performance records, and overseeing examination processes.

  • Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and enhancement of the curriculum, ensuring all course content aligns with current industry trends while creating updated learning programs and instructional materials.

  • Institutional Coordination: Coordinate industry exposure activities, manage schedules for visiting lecturers, and lead student engagement initiatives while supporting overall institutional needs and assigned duties.

Education and Experience (Requirements)

  • Education: A University Degree or professional Diploma in Textile and Apparel, Merchandising, Apparel Marketing, or a closely related discipline.

  • Experience: 1–2 years of hands-on industry experience as an Apparel Merchandiser.

  • Teaching Aptitude: Prior teaching, lecturing, or corporate training experience within the apparel education sector is highly desirable.

  • Academic Management: Familiarity with institutional academic management, student assessment processes, and student engagement strategies.
