The Role

Empower transformation by becoming a driving force of change at MAS! We are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to establish Environment, Safety, and Health (ESH) standards and initiatives across the plant. In this role, you will ensure the timely and effective functioning of these standards while facilitating other social compliance projects, directing the plant toward being socially and environmentally responsible to achieve its business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Safety Training & Awareness: Educate employees effectively on health and safety procedures and raise awareness through training programs, notice boards, and awareness banners. Provide ESH briefings for visitors to promote occupational safety.

• ESH Framework & Risk Management: Develop, implement, and audit the plant’s ESH framework. Periodically review and update risk, environmental aspect, and impact assessments while investigating incidents to evaluate corrective actions.

• Program Implementation: Execute ESH management programs effectively to meet established environmental and safety targets. Ensure regular maintenance of all health and safety equipment across the factory compound.

• Audit Facilitation & Documentation: Maintain all social compliance documentation and filing to ensure successful periodic audits. Coordinate with auditors and other departments to initiate action plans and sustain required standards.

• Legal Compliance: Liaise with relevant institutes to monitor changes or amendments in labor and environmental laws, educating internal personnel to ensure continuous compliance.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as an active member of social compliance project teams. Partner with HR, the Plant Head, and the HR Manager to drive sustainability initiatives and other specialized projects as needed.

Knowledge and Skills

• Education: Degree in Engineering or a related relevant qualification.

• Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar compliance or safety-focused role.

• Core Skills: Strong communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
