About the Role

Embark on a journey of change with MAS by joining the Bodywear team as a Senior Merchandiser – Bulk. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional and internal merchandising teams to ensure a smooth operational flow. Your main focus will be securing raw material availability to facilitate planned production, optimizing capacity utilization, and meeting customer requirements with minimal write-offs.

Key Responsibilities

• Timeline & Calendar Management: Partner with merchandisers to follow up on and execute key milestones in the customer calendar. Develop detailed internal action plans to guarantee on-time delivery.

• Inventory & Financial Control: Oversee raw material inventory management. Track, manage, and analyze stock levels (including dummy and liability stock) to support factory requirements while minimizing liabilities, avoiding write-offs, and ensuring timely supplier payments.

• Customer Communication: Maintain superior communication with global clients. Provide regular updates on order and liability confirmations, and maintain accurate raw material progress charts.

• Supplier Relations & Negotiation: Build and sustain strong supplier partnerships. Effectively negotiate prices and commercial terms to ensure raw materials meet quality and quantity standards at competitive rates.

• Operational Execution: Diligently execute and administer critical production activities, including:

  • Bill of Materials (BOM) creation.

  • Purchase Order (PO) creation and portal releases.

  • Proforma Invoice (PI) confirmations and portal acceptances.

  • Tracking bulk color approvals and bringing in materials for Red Tag/Purple Seal sampling.

• Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate material in-house dates with suppliers and production planning teams. Work closely with logistics to guide shipping arrangements and ensure documentation complies with specific requirements.

• Issue Resolution & Tracking: Act as the primary point of contact for escalated production issues, connecting with technical personnel to minimize losses. Maintain weekly order tracking, production status reports, sales forecasting, and variance reports.

• Continuous Improvement: Participate in supplier performance evaluations to ensure service quality. Drive and identify new projects or agile initiatives to improve unit performance.

Knowledge & Skills (Requirements)

• Experience: 3–4 years of relevant professional experience in apparel merchandising (bulk production focus preferred).

• Education: An MBA, Bachelor’s Degree, or a fully completed professional management qualification in a relevant field.

• Core Competencies:

  • Excellent customer relationship management (CRM) skills.

  • Strong understanding of group and team dynamics, with a proven ability to collaborate across diverse internal functions.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
