Job Purpose
You will lead the team responsible for credit documentation, “fit-to-lend” verification, mortgage execution, and document safekeeping. Your role is to ensure all activities meet strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs) while fostering a proactive culture of mentoring and efficiency. You will collaborate with stakeholders to develop operational best practices and provide expert guidance on the legal and compliance aspects of facility disbursement.
Roles and Responsibilities
Quality Asset Management

Compliance: Ensure Credit Middle Office policies and procedures strictly align with the Bank’s credit policy and UAE Central Bank guidelines.

Legal Coordination: Work with the legal department to ensure all collaterals and documents comply with UAE law. Oversee the drafting of facility offer letters and loan agreements for Wholesale Banking (Conventional and Islamic).

Documentation Perfection: Ensure “fit-to-lend” checks are completed, all Conditions Precedent (CPs) are met, and mortgages are executed before authorizing limit releases.

Risk Mitigation: Track and communicate credit-approved deferrals. Conduct periodic follow-ups to ensure deficient documents are cleared promptly to mitigate credit and legal risks.

Safekeeping & Inspection: Oversee the timely lodgment of documents and vault operations. Ensure tangible collaterals and liens are registered with relevant statutory authorities.
Operational Leadership

Team Management: Manage, train, and motivate staff to achieve both team and individual goals.

Performance Monitoring: Measure processing times and transaction volumes, using benchmarking to drive continuous productivity improvements.

Workflow Optimization: Allocate daily tasks to ensure the team meets turnaround times (TAT) and minimizes potential losses through high-quality execution.

Reporting: Ensure all MIS reports (SLA, TAT, Activity, and Operational Risk) are submitted accurately and on time.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance.

Experience: Minimum 6 years in the banking sector, with at least 3 years specifically focused on Credit Documentation.

Technical Knowledge: Sound understanding of Corporate Credit, core banking systems, and MS Office (Excel and Word).
