Main Objective of Role

The IT Department is a critical enabler of flydubai’s business objectives, focusing on designing, delivering, and supporting technology solutions that drive efficiency, reliability, and digital innovation. The team manages the full lifecycle of IT initiatives—from planning and development to testing and ongoing support—ensuring all systems are scalable, secure, and perfectly aligned with the airline’s needs.

About the Role

This 12-week rotational internship program offers comprehensive exposure to IT management, governance frameworks, and agile methodologies within a fast-paced aviation environment. Interns will develop essential problem-solving and analytical skills while gaining hands-on experience across various functions, including project management, business analysis, data engineering, and system implementation, all under the mentorship of experienced IT professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Technical & Project Support

• Project Assistance: Support team members with ongoing IT tasks, technical projects, and departmental initiatives.

• Research & Analysis: Conduct basic research and data gathering to support technical objectives and business analysis.

• Documentation: Prepare, update, and maintain accurate technical documentation, progress reports, and project trackers.

Collaboration & Professionalism

• Engagement: Participate in team meetings, technical briefings, and training sessions, capturing key action items and learnings.

• Stakeholder Interaction: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure a smooth operational workflow.

• Accountability: Demonstrate professionalism, effective time management, and a proactive commitment to learning.

• Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive company data with the utmost responsibility.

Final Presentation

• Innovation: Prepare and deliver a concluding presentation outlining the internship experience, key technical learnings, and recommendations for new ideas or process improvements.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

• Languages: Fluent in written and spoken English.

• Technical Skills: Strong systems knowledge in Microsoft Office/365.
