Key Purpose of the Job

The Executive – Infrastructure & System Support (New Projects) is responsible for managing, securing, and maintaining core IT systems and network infrastructure across the Consumer Foods Sector. This includes supervising all active and passive network equipment, delivering Level 1 user support in coordination with Group IT, maintaining strict internal and statutory IT compliance protocols, and administering Microsoft Server and Azure cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

L1 User & Application Support

  • Line-of-Business Support: Provide Level 1 technical support for core business systems, including MS Office 365, SAP, Restaurant Management Systems (RMS), Human Capital Management (HCM) platforms, corporate websites, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and internal workflow tools.

  • Group IT Liaison: Coordinate directly with John Keells Group IT specialists to escalate and resolve complex SAP, network, or corporate IT service issues.

  • On-Site Mobility: Provide comprehensive remote and hands-on technical support to system users, including traveling to various branch and restaurant outlets for on-site troubleshooting when required.

Infrastructure & System Administration

  • Network Management: Actively manage and troubleshoot network infrastructure, overseeing both active and passive network components to ensure zero operational downtime.

  • Identity & Access Management: Conduct day-to-day administration of Azure Entra ID, configure corporate Group Policies, and manage user accounts and permission sets.

  • Hardware Maintenance: Supervise, troubleshoot, and maintain the lifecycle of company IT assets, keeping an accurate up-to-date inventory.

  • Vendor Coordination: Partner with external IT service providers and hardware vendors to ensure seamless equipment maintenance, warranty claims, and system upgrades.

Compliance & Budgetary Support

  • IT Governance: Maintain strict IT compliance metrics in alignment with Group Policies, internal audit recommendations, and statutory industry requirements.

  • Patch Management: Execute routine Microsoft server patch updates to maintain optimized security compliance levels.

  • Budgetary Planning: Assist in the preparation, tracking, and operational follow-up of the annual departmental IT budget.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Education & Experience

  • A University Degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Information Technology, Computer Science, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

  • 1–2 years of proven, hands-on experience in a similar IT systems infrastructure or network support capacity.

  • Professional certifications in Microsoft System Administration (e.g., Windows Server/Azure) and Network Management (e.g., CCNA) will be considered a distinct advantage.

Technical Competencies

  • Domain Expertise: Clear business understanding of core IT processes governing Restaurant Outlet Operations.

  • System Knowledge: Sound working knowledge of network configurations, application management, MS Server environments, Azure cloud tools, and mobile application management.

  • Auxiliary Systems: Familiarity with CCTV system infrastructure, PABX telephony management, and various client/server operating systems.

  • Emerging Tech: A strong foundational knowledge of computer hardware, interfacing systems with SAP, data architectures using MS SQL databases, and dashboard reporting via MS Power BI.
