• Average Salary: AED 12,000 – AED 18,000 per month (Range for Cadet/Trainee status; significantly increases upon graduation to First Officer)

Main Objective of Role

The UAE Cadet serves as the ‘Second in Command’ during both normal and non-normal flight operations. Under the direct guidance of the Captain or Aircraft Commander (and, where applicable, the First Officer), the Cadet ensures the safe, efficient, and professional operation of the aircraft.

Key Responsibilities

Flight Operations & Safety

• Operational Support: Provide continuous input and assistance to the Captain to ensure all flights are operated safely and efficiently.

• Procedures: Execute all duties in strict accordance with the instructions and procedures defined in the flydubai Operations Manuals.

• Ground Coordination: Support the Commander in overseeing appropriate fueling, baggage/cargo loading, and necessary aircraft servicing.

Professionalism & Representation

• Brand Ambassadorship: Act as a professional representative of flydubai, maintaining the highest standards of personal discipline, conduct, and appearance, especially while on duty.

• Duty of Care: Demonstrate responsibility for the welfare and safety of both the crew and customers throughout the journey.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: High School Diploma is required.

• Language: Must be fluent in both English and Arabic.

• Flight Hours:

  • Ages 20–34: Minimum 225 hours flying time.

  • Ages 35–50: Minimum 1,000 hours flying time.

• Licensing & Certification:

  • 1st Class Medical certificate from ICAO.

  • CPL/IR with MCC for Frozen ATPL.

  • ELP Level 4 or above.

  • GCAA Air-law exam (required for foreign license holders).

• Military Status: Proof of completion of military service or an official exemption.
